Nitrogen-A New Rusnak Standard

Nitrogen

Rusnak Auto Group, the brand synonymous with the finest automotive experience in Southern California, is once again raising the bar with an investment in new technology that will improve mileage, safety and performance on every vehicle they lease or sell. Starting in July, Rusnak will begin replacing the regular compressed air in their tires with nitrogen.
Because nitrogen molecules are larger than regular compressed air, they don’t pass through the tire walls as easily. A nitrogen-filled tire can stay fully inflated for as much as six times longer. NASA, the Federal Aviation Administration, all branches of the U.S. Military, even racecar drivers use Nitrogen in their tires. Nitrogen gas allows for a very low concentration of moisture. That reduces condensation and rim corrosion, and will allow tires to run cooler - all which provide a safer ride. According the AAA, 85% of vehicles on the road have at least one tire that is under inflated. 90% of all tire failures are caused by under inflation. Nitrogen-filled tires are better for the environment because they save fuel and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Victoria Pearson Rusnak has provided a calculator at RusnakOnline.com to help consumers determine what they will save. Rusnak is also inviting all current Rusnak clients back to the dealership for a free nitrogen change over. “We are introducing new technology that will provide our clients with something tangibly different so we needed a multi-media campaign that would educate and create buzz,” said Victoria Pearson, COO General Counsel, Rusnak Group. “We are helping our clients get better mileage and save real money. Given today’s current economic climate, it’s the right thing to do.”

Rusnak Volvo Presents The Art of Fun-Raising

Childrens Hospital Los AngelesOn Thursday, July 17, Rusnak Volvo Pasadena presented The Art of Fun-Raising at Color Me Mine in Montrose, California benefiting Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Injury Prevention Research and Training Center. Chris Jordan-Morrow MPH/CHES, MS/CNS, RNC Injury Prevention Coordinator, Trauma Program Division of Pediatric Surgery said, “Today’s event occurred through partnerships between Rusnak Volvo Pasadena, Color Me Mine and media sponsor, Pasadena Magazine to which we are grateful. Together we can create the synergy needed to make a difference in the safety of our kids here in Los Angeles.” Over $5000 was raised at this unique and interactive event.

Emma Finney

     Emma Finney

Nine year old, Emma Finney from Tujunga, spoke to the guests of her experiences at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and the gift of love she has received from the doctors, nurses, faculty, and staff which was touching and tearful. Childrens Hospital Los Angeles is the only Level 1 ACS accredited Childrens Trauma Hospital in Los Angeles. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, American children ages one to fourteen are two to three times more likely to die from unintentional injury than from any single childhood disease. Every year, millions of children are temporarily or permanently disabled. Injury prevention is the key to breaking the cycle of trauma. Here at CHLA the top three mechanisms of injury are Falls, auto verses pedestrian/bikes and enclosed motor vehicle accidents. Car Seat Safety is necessary and it is refreshing that Rusnak Volvo Pasadena is taking some responsibility in educating families on how to keep themselves safe. The challenge we face is how to intervene and gain buy-in from the community to change behaviors that put children at risk. Local challenges can be reduced through a regional approach and collaborative partnerships within the Community.

The guests, which consisted of mothers, fathers, grandmothers, children and friends, donated $50 to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and were able to choose a $25 ceramic keepsake to design from Color Me Mine. The guests also participate in an exciting silent auction sponsored by Frockx Boutique, Shapiro Center of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. John Vartanian, Twin Palms, Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant, The Orchestras of Pasadena, Urban Boot Camp, Nick Boswell Photography, Elm Concierge, Shoe Fantasy and much more. Guests enjoyed scrumptious desserts by Dots Cupcakes and wine by the San Antonio Winery while they painted their ceramic keepsake.

The Pasadena POPS

Nmon Ford The Pasadena POPS was In The Heat Night Of The Night on July 18, 19, and 20th. The night, like music, wore many guises—from sizzling and sexy to soothing to spooky. Night sings lullabies. Night swings. Night is On Bald Mountain and Where the Wild Things Are... Most of all, night is when the stars come out—stars like the POPS’ favorite baritone, Nmon Ford. Together, with Nmon and the orchestra, the audience met the composers inspired by “that good night”— Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter and Quincy Jones, among others—and enjoyed a great evening of A Little Night Music. Rusnak Audi and Bentley Pasadena are the season sponsors of the Pasadena POPS.

Rusnak Jaguar supports 21st Annual Golf Classic Benefiting the Children of Five Acres

21st Annual Golf Classic Benefitting the Children of Five Acres

From The Rusnak Mailbox

Rusnak Mailbox

Numerous letters of gratitude were received this month. Here are a couple we would like to share with you.

We start off this month’s mail with a wonderful letter to Liz Rusnak:

Dear Liz,

We purchased a certified pre-owned Mercedes-Benz from your Arcadia dealership on Wednesday, July 23. We are writing to thank you for our shopping experience and to tell you why this particular purchase was very meaningful.
Our daughter, Brooke, graduated from college in May 2004. Education is very important in our family, so we wanted to give her a significant gift to celebrate her achievement. She promptly selected a brand-new 2005 C230 Kompressor, one of the first of the coming model year to roll off the truck. We were very pleased with her wise selection of a car that would carry her into the future in style, safety and true economy.
For the next four years, that little car went on a lot of adventures! It took Brooke to law school, it traveled to many fun destinations, it survived a rock slide in the mountains, it carried snowboards, bicycles, friends, cousins, dogs, cats, and shopping bags, and it delivered a bright young lawyer home from law school lickety-split. What more can you ask?
Well, earlier this month, more WAS asked of that car. Brooke got caught in the middle of a pile-up on the freeway, and she walked away from an accident that might have been catastrophic had she been in a less sturdy car. It did its job of protecting her, even though it sustained damages that couldn’t be repaired. While we are sad to say farewell, we realize that no matter how much we “love” our cars, they are really just machines designed to get us from place to place as safely and reliably as possible. Cars are expendable, while we are not.

Brooke

We contacted Rusnak Arcadia in order to help Brooke shop for a replacement car. They had the same model available – a 2005 C230 Kompressor – with very low miles and in perfect condition. It was originally sold at that dealership, and the service records and history of the car were offered for our review. We took Brooke to check it out, and after she drove the car and negotiated a price that fit her budget, she decided to purchase it. We realize that this wasn’t exactly Rusnak’s most significant transaction, but we were nevertheless treated as highly valued customers and given every courtesy and consideration.
So, we wanted to tell you our story and to thank the sales team who helped (and even stayed open late) to get our daughter back in the driver’s seat after her harrowing experience. Brooke is safely on her way to more adventures and accomplishments, and we are ever so grateful.

Sincerely,

James Copelan and Janice Kopanski

Dear Chris Falcioni (General Manger Hyundai Inland Empire),

Dear Paul Rusnak,

We wish to extend our sincerest thank you for your generous gift in-kind of the car and paid insurance for the Loyola Alumni Golf Classic, recently held at Industry Hills Golf Course at the Pacific Palms Conference Resort. Due in part to your very generous support which allowed us to lower our expenses, we had our most successful tournament ever, raising $63,000 to assist the annual beneficiary of this grand endeavor: the Loyola High School Athletic Department.
Thanks again for your continued support of our Alumni Golf Classic, Paul, and know that all in our Loyola community gratefully appreciates your generosity, but it is especially valued by those who toil so selflessly to ensure the unmatched athletic tradition and reputation enjoyed by Loyola.

Hi Liz,

Two weeks ago, my husband and I drove to Thousand Oaks from Pasadena and purchased 2 BMWs. We drove there, and purchased there, because of your support of the Orchestras of Pasadena. Your support means so much to this community. THANK YOU!!!!
By the way, we got great service from our sales person Neil Pearl, and from the processing person, Maria. You could tell that they both had a lot of pride in representing the Rusnak name.

Hope to see you soon.
